These burgers are so famous that they inspire the annual El Reno Fried Onion Burger Festival, where the world's largest onion burger is prepared and served to attendees. four miles west of the city lies Fort Reno, which hosts the Tombstone Tales every fall, featuring Buffalo Soldiers, Indian scouts, and World War II German POWs sharing their stories.
